MOBILE APPLICATION PRIVACY POLICY

This Mobile Application Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) helps you to better understand our privacy practices. This Privacy Policy was last updated on February 22, 2019 and is related to our print mobile application.

General

This Privacy Policy describes the practices of ARC Document Solutions, LLC (referred to hereinafter as “ARC,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), and outlines what we do with respect to the collection, use, maintenance and disclosure of information collected through our print mobile application (the “App” or “ARC App”).

This Privacy Policy applies only to information we collect through the App, and does not apply to any other website or business activity of ARC, provided, however, that when you register your information on the App, it will connect to your account on our website. By using our App, you consent to the collection, use, maintenance, and disclosure of relevant information as described in this Privacy Policy. If you don’t consent, please don’t use the ARC App.

We reserve the right to revise this Privacy Policy at any time. When we do, we will give you notice of the revised Privacy Policy by posting the revised Privacy Policy notice within the App, and by revising the “last updated” date at the top of this Privacy Policy. ARC is located at 12657 Alcosta Blvd., Suite 200, San Ramon, California 94583 and is responsible for the content of the App as well as the collection and management of the user information.

Downloading the App

The ARC app is available for iOS mobile devices only.  We are not yet available on Google Play. You may download the App without providing any personal information.  However, iOS devices do provide to us a unique advertising ID, which we do collect.

We are both Data Controller and Data Processor.

A “controller” is the legal entity which, alone or jointly with others, determines the purposes and means of the processing of personal data. ARC is the data controller for all data described by this policy.  A “processor” is a legal entity or other body that processes data on behalf of the controller, as defined above. ARC may use various data processors to print your materials, but not to store your information.

Information We Collect & Technology We Use

The App is used to print construction documents for existing customers.  If you choose to use the App, you must already have an account with ARC.  If you do not have an account with ARC, you will not be able to print documents or use the App for its intended purpose, and no information will be collected.  To create an account, please visit ARC Document Solutions, or call 855.500.0660.  You will have to agree to the ARC website terms of use and privacy policy, located here.

When you are ready to use the App for printing, we will require some limited information from you so that we can provide the service of printing your documents (the “Service”).  We require your name, company name and address, company account number, and your email address.  All of this information is information you will have provided to us when you created an account with ARC.  Please note that uninstalling the App does not mean your account with ARC has been closed.

We will request that you give us access to your photo gallery so that you may send images to print.  We will also request you allow us to access geolocation data in order for the App to perform properly.  You are free to turn these off using the native system preferences in your mobile device, however the App may not work properly and some functions won’t be available.  Once we have fulfilled your order, information pertaining to the order is passed to ARC’s billing and finance department and retained as all ARC account records are retained.  A record of your order is stored in the App for your convenience, however, any printing materials or images ordered through the App are not stored in the App; they may, however be retained on the native application within your mobile device.

When you order prints, you will be prompted to select a location to retrieve your materials related to the geolocation data we collect, and the materials you specify will be sent for pick-up at that location.  A record of that location will be stored on the App for your convenience.  Orders will be printed at the appropriate ARC print center, depending upon your location.

 We have a legitimate business interest in the App properly running.  Accordingly, we may collect “usage information” when you view and/or interact with our App.  This information is anonymous and may include the number of times you open the App, and the location of the App, all of which will be used to update and improve the App and our Services.

 Disclosure and Use of Information We Collect

We use certain user data for the purpose for which it is provided and for the other purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Namely, we use your user data to fill, confirm, and print your order; notify you of your order status; and to communicate with you about the App.  When you place a print order, this is your consent for us to provide the Service of printing, and relevant information will be transmitted to the appropriate ARC print center to print your order for pickup.

We may use and disclose certain user data and usage information when we have reason to believe that using and/or disclosing this information is necessary to investigate, identify, contact, or take action against someone who may have engaged in illegal activities or breached our terms and conditions of use or who may be causing injury to or interference with (either intentionally or unintentionally) our rights or property, other users of our App, or anyone else who could be harmed by such activities. We may also disclose certain user data when we reasonably believe that the law requires it.

Requested Deletion

If you would like us to delete all of your personal information, you may uninstall the App.  Please note that this will not close your account.  Please visit www.e-arc.com for information on how to close your account.  If you reinstall the App, past orders will be available.

Privacy of Children

The App is a professional software application designed for adult use in the commercial context, primarily in the architecture, engineering and construction industry. As such, it is a general audience App and not intended for anyone under the age of majority.  We do not market to, and do not knowingly collect any certain user data from, children under eighteen (18) years of age. Children the age of 13 or older who want to use this App should always get permission from their parents before sending any personal information about themselves.

Security

Although we take reasonable measures to protect data against accidental loss, unauthorized access, destruction, and disclosure and to ensure business continuity, information transmitted through the App is not 100% secure. As a result, we do not ensure, warrant or guarantee the security or integrity of such information. We will not be responsible for disclosure of any information due to errors in transmission or the unauthorized acts of third parties.
